River Bases Activitiees
Hundreds of professional anglers from across the globe swamp the fishing camps only for the Mahseer. The angling season starts during mid-November and continues till March the next year. We assist 8 to 10 guests a day with their fishing, providing them with fishing guides (gillies), coracle boats and bait. Fishing hours start at 6.30 am and lasts till 10.30 am in the morning and the evening session begins at 4 and continues till 7 pm. Here the angling goes eco-friendly way as well. The Mahseer caught are released back into the waters to ensure that this endangered species is conserved properly.
You can get the adrenalin flowing with the thrills of river rafting on Cauvery during the monsoon season (mid-June to September).
Season
If you want to enjoy nature at its best at Bheemeshwari Fishing and Nature Camp, plan your vacation during the monsoon months of June, July and August. The lush green forest and the Cauvery river - watch and get bemused with nature unfurling it unspoilt beauty before you. At other times of the year water recedes to reveal wide sand banks where you could lay back and rejuvenate yourself in the evenings.
The best time to visit the camp is between September and February. This is also the ideal time for bird watchers as river terns, fishing eagles, king fishers, and plenty of others species flock here. Summers (March-June) are usually very warm, especially in the afternoon.
